The regular season of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 EMEA Stage 1 extended one more week. The postponed series of Week 3 and 4 will take place in week 6. In conclusion, the group stage will end and all teams that qualify for the playoffs will become clear. The extra week of the event will contain 5 series mostly from Group B.
Let’s break down the key matchups.
First of all, you might not recognize the name of M3C. It’s the new name of Gambit Esports’ roster. Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Gambit hadn’t been able to compete at VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 1 for two weeks. Then, the Russian organization shared a statement on March 14 and said that it allowed its VALORANT players to compete as an independent team. With that being said, the roster will clash under a new banner “Masters 3 Champions – M3C” from now on.
The Gambit Esports roster is returning to the competition with its new name to determine the fate of Group B. Since the team couldn’t find a chance to compete after the first two weeks, it’s currently placed 5th with a victory and a loss, having three games left.
Predicting the course of events is very difficult due to the current circumstances. We don’t know the mindset of M3C or how the players reacted to the happenings, which makes the matchups more exciting. However, Chronicle and his friends are favorites no matter what.
Natus Vincere, on the other hand, has to win this game to keep its playoff dreams alive. The team has two unplayed matches coming into week 6, but losing one of them might push it out of the playoffs because of being disadvantageous in head-to-head matchups.
The first day of Week 6 brings all the bangers to screens. Both FNC and Guild will fight each other to obtain first place in Group A and get the benefit of starting in the Semifinals at the Playoffs.
Fnatic is the only undefeated team at VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 1 Challengers right now. In fact, it lost only one map in four games. Winning all of its games in convincing ways provided enormous confidence for all the players and this led them to increase their performances week by week.
In addition to offering high-quality VALORANT, this series will bring two of the best duelists head-to-head. On one side, Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev has been leading Fnatic with 1.23 Rating, while Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel has been helping Guild Esports with 238 ACS on the other.
Furthermore, Guild Esports looked shaky for the first time with its renewed roster last week. Meeting its first loss last week against G2 Esports and putting an end to its undefeated run from the qualifiers, the team also struggled versus SuperMassive Blaze and dropped a map. The roster needs to recover after the tough week, otherwise, Fnatic will be two steps ahead for this series.
The last week of VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 1 Challengers’ group stage will start on March 16 and last until March 18.
