A new leak has surfaced that God of War Ragnarok and Demon Souls will be getting PC ports, and fans are curious to learn more about the same.
The leak, posted by u/rockagent states that God of War Ragnarok, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Demon Souls, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, and Ghost of Tsushima will be getting PC ports. This has created a lot of excitement in the PC games community, as the Redditor is being called a credible industry insider. However, there seems to be much more to the leak than what it appears, and there are a few things to note.
Most likely not. If one looks at the previous leaks posted by the user, one will notice that there are a number of questionable leaks. Take this Call of Duty leak for instance.
• Chivarly II like combat, plays similary to current Vanguard, Warzone, Black Ops.
• Takes place in alternate reality Europe World War II where alternate version of Nazi Germany is close to weaponizing Dragons (this world version of nukes) and
Elite team of Knights (this world version of USA SEALS) is sent to destroy the research before alternate version of D-day invasion happens.
• Weird Mix of Contemporary tatics with medieval combat (Picture Modern Warfare 2019 ‘Clean House’ Mission but with Medieval Knights).
• Magic is like in Game of Thrones (Mostly Myth and Legends) and serves as this world story counterpart to real-world Nazi occultism.
• Same multiplayer of current Call of Duty games but using the new mechanics.
This sounds quite absurd, to say the least, and there is quite little probability, if at all, of Call of Duty games incorporating magic or dragons. There is a similar trend in some of the other leaks as well, such as The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of Courage, which sounds more like fan fiction than a proper leak.
I know for a fact that one very specific part of this “leak” is not true. Based on that I’m happy to call bullshit on this whole thing. https://t.co/kUKXB5jMI6
In fact, the leaker has been debunked by popular industry insider Lance Mcdonald, who is known for his work in the Souls community. He goes on to say that he can vouch that one specific aspect of the leak is not true (which most likely is Demon Souls, considering that’s his beat), and he calls the entire thing fake based on that.
Can we get God of War Ragnarok and Demon Souls Remake on PC? The former is possible, but the latter seems highly unlikely. Considering that God of War 2018 made its way to PC, we can expect that for God of War Ragnarok as well. But then again, if Sony does indeed take that step, it will most likely not happen until close to the end of the generation.
