Two legends of Dota 2 return as substitutes

The ESL One Stockholm Major is now facing more issues with players getting visas, as two members of OG esports are unable to compete in the event. Captain, Mikhail “Misha” Agatov and coach Evgenii “Chuvash” Makarov have been temporarily replaced by Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Sébastien “Ceb” Debs due to visa issues.

The players stepping in to help OG at the major are two of the most storied players in Dota’s history. Both Ceb and N0tail are among the five players who have won The International twice. While they announced their retirement from Dota a few months ago, they have worked closely with the team and are the best possible substitutes on short notice. Fans will also surely enjoy watching the legends of the game compete at the highest level once again.
While OG Esports are the next victims of visa troubles ahead of the Stockholm Major, they are far from the first to face such problems. All of the teams from the Chinese region, Team Aster, PSG.LGD, Xtreme Gaming and Royal Never Give Up, are unable to attend due to the rise in Covid-19 cases. The Eastern European region has also faced its fair share of issues, as the region only began in mid April after a long delay due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The third-place team from Eastern Europe, Mind Games, will also be using substitutes.
OG Esports have high expectations as one of the youngest teams in the Western Europe Dota Pro Circuit. They ended the regular season in first during the second tour of the season and were the best and most innovative team in Western Europe. OG Esports’ first set of matches will be against Beast Coast, the best team in South America, and Boom Esports, the reigning champions of Southeast Asia.
