When we think of sports at Madison College – baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball usually come to mind. But there’s a new sport that’s gaining a lot of attention at the college.
Recently, Madison College hosted the Wisconsin High School Esports Association’s state championship at the Truax Campus. Hundreds of gamers competed in Smash and Overwatch.
Organizers say esports build leadership skills, help develop strategy and teach teamwork.
