YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — As Esports Ohio becomes increasingly popular throughout the state, East High School students have an opportunity to learn skills that can carry over into their future careers while playing video games.
“The fire that has been lit under esports is huge and it’s growing so astronomically quickly,” says Dennis Yommer, esports coach at East High School. “Within the next five years, you’re going to be seeing esports as an actual high school and college competitive sport.”
