South Built Esports exited the VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers after they lost to BOOM Esports 2-1 in the lower bracket of the playoffs.
No reasons. No complains. We gave our best, but @boomesportsid came out stronger. Congrats Hungry Beast! ???

True to their nature, South Built trailed in the first half for Game 1 on Breeze. As they started at the defending side, BOOM surgically dismantled their defense with accurate precision. Finally warmed up, South Built tried to catch up in the second half but was unfortunately unable to do so as BOOM ended the game 13-10.

With Haven as their map pick, Game 2 went to South Built as they scored an astonishing 13-5 against Indonesia’s best team. South Built took out their Game 1 frustrations on BOOM as they scored 10-2 in the first half. Eager to tie the series, South Built shook off the jitters they got from the early rounds of the second half and immediately closed it out on Round 18.

Unfortunately for our last Filipino reps, the tie-breaker on Ascent went to BOOM Esports with a score of 13-6. The first half of the game was catastrophic for South Built as they only got a mere 3 rounds against BOOM. Despite their valiant efforts, BOOM didn’t allow South Built to turn the sides of the table as they closed it out just 7 rounds into the second half.
With that loss, South Built Esports exited as the 7th-8th placer, along with Made in Thailand, and will be taking home USD $7,500.
