Esports is starting to gain a lot of momentum and widespread popularity as more esports teams are being developed to compete in larger competitions, globally. This has, in turn, made the industry extremely competitive, and establishing your spot is a huge challenge. However, it’s not entirely impossible, a theory proven by Bleed eSports. In just a few months since its launch, the Singapore-based team has reached the top and has become an internationally recognized team.
Bleed eSports is one of the leading esports teams in Singapore and beyond, with its players winning several awards. The team placed third in VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers. They also won first place in the SEA eSports Championships 2021: Singaporean qualifier.
According to Mervyn Goh, the founder and CEO of Bleed eSports, their goal as a team is to redefine the sporting industry and change how audiences view online gaming. The last two years have been challenging for the sporting industry, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic that has led to many people spending their time indoors. However, with esports, one can easily watch any game in the comfort of their home, and this is also much cheaper.
Bleed eSports has brought together a team of skilled players who are making esports more thrilling and exciting. They are bringing back the fun to the sporting world while helping young players fulfill their dreams and encouraging other business owners.
Bleed eSports is the first Asian team in Valorant that has imported players from Europe and Asia. Their diversity helps them be unique and increase their chances of winning in major global competitions. Some players who have been part of the Bleed eSports team include renowned Swedish player Jacob “Pyth” Mourujärvi and Max “Maxie” Lönnström, who have led the team to win various tournaments.
Jacob “Pyth” is a former G2 Esports player and is widely known for his time with the Ninjas in Pyjamas, where he was a counter-strike global offensive player. Max “Maxie” Lönnström is a retired CS: GO player and has competed with teams like HASSeLsNOk and Denial Esports. Their combined skills and experiences are helping Bleed eSports to become a leading team in the industry.
Despite being only a few months old, Bleed eSports is already a well-known international esports team, receiving massive recognition in and out of Singapore. They have defied all odds to reach the top, and their journey is now, an inspiration to others in the industry.
Mervyn and his team are using their platform to change the gaming industry and empower other players. He says that in starting Bleed eSports, he wanted to create a level ground for both parties and make esports more entertaining and competitive. As Bleed eSports grows, Mervyn is building a home for all esports players and fans while making the industry better. In the coming years, he says his goal is to have many more people join the team and take Bleed eSports to become the top esports team in the world.
