The sponsorship will last for Genesis 'and beyond'

Enrique “Maister” Hernández Solís announced Thursday that he has temporarily joined Moist Esports as a competitive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player. He will represent the organization beginning this weekend at Genesis 8.
“Thank you so much to the legend @MoistCr1TiKaL for helping to fund me to get to events too,” Maister tweeted. “I really appreciate it. Will do the org proud at Genesis.”
Maister has not revealed the exact duration of his tenure with Moist Esports, only saying it would last “beyond” Genesis. However, it appears the partnership will only be temporary. Maister clarified he will still be open to other opportunities as a free agent.

Charles “Cr1TiKaL” White Jr. started Moist Esports in August of 2021 by signing Kolawole “Kola” Aideyan. Since then, he has added four additional Smash Ultimate players to the Moist Esports roster: Aaron “Aaron” Wilhite, Alexis “Goblin” Stennett, Paris “Light” Ramirez and now Maister.
The team also includes Melee player Kurtis “moky” Pratt, Guilty Gear Strive player Julian “Hotashi” Harris, Brawlhalla player Zack “Boomie” Bielamowicz and Rocket League player Dillon “Rizzo” Rizzo.
Maister had a shaky start in Smash Ultimate, placing 129th at the game’s first supermajor, Genesis 6. However, his results improved significantly in the second half of 2019. As a result, he was ranked sixth in the world on the Fall 2019 PGRU, marking the highest-ever debut for a previously unranked player.
Since then, Maister has not placed lower than 17th offline and has reached top eight more often than not. Because of his consistent performances throughout the latter half of 2021, Maister was ranked top seven in North America on PGRUContenders.
Recently, Maister has experienced a streak of underperformances. He has missed top eight at four of his past five tournaments — excluding the eight-person G4 Smash Ultimate Invitational, where he finished in last place. Maister will undoubtedly aim for a resurgence at Genesis 8 under the Moist Esports banner.
