Hyderabad Hydras expands its esports team with three new content creators and streamers – India Today

Hyderabad Hydras esports team, the first city-based professional outfit and franchise team for Esports Premier League (ESPL) has just expanded its content creator segment. As part of the expansion, the esports team has signed three more content creators and streamers bringing the total number to seven. This list of new streamers joining the Hyderabad Hydras includes GW Manish, Melody Gamer, and Police Gaming YT. GW Manish is the most popular of the lot with 3.49 million followers followed by 354k followers for Melody Gamer and The Police Gaming YT with 93.2k. The expanded content creator and streaming segment will help the esports team to reach more fans and gamers across different titles across multiple platforms. It also claimed that the new content creators pushed Hyderabad Hydras across the 5 million followers. With the seven-member team, the esports team can also “churn out viral-worthy original content” to engage its existing fan base while attracting new followers.
The owner of Hyderabad Hydras, Aashwij Ravula also shared a statement with the announcement. Mr. Ravula said, “Hyderabad Hydras is glad to welcome GW Manish, Melody Gamer, and The Police Gaming YT to the family. These new members will ensure that the esports team can reach out to an even larger gaming audience across the country. We want to make sure that we contribute to the growth of the gaming and esports industry in the country. Hyderabad Hydras has a lot more planned, and you can expect more announcements in the coming months.”
Looking back, Hyderabad Hydras teams nurtured and groomed Muggle Gaming to stream PC games like GTA 5 and God of War. Around the same time, it signed Salman Gaming and Shabbir Gaming to stream Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Later, the team also added Vadhiyaar to expand the set of in-house BGMI creators. The outfit wants to help grow the Indian esports ecosystem while establishing itself as a “leading Esports brand’.
