Dell has now revealed release and pricing data for its latest G-series monitor for the North American region. Of these, the new G3223Q is the 32-inch and 4K/UHD version of the G2722HS model already found on this market. It offers dual HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as DisplayPort 1.4 and "SuperSpeed" USB type-A connectivity.
Dell asserts it has set this monitor up for "tear-free gameplay" with a 144Hz refresh rate (with VRR) on PC, although this falls to 120Hz on console. The G3223Q, or 32 4K UHD Gaming Monitor, is also VESA DisplayHDR 600-certified and compatible with the OEM’s new Creator OSD mode.
By contrast, its G3223D sibling is QHD, and swaps USB type-C connectivity (with 15W Power Delivery capabilities) for the latest HDMI standard. It also has an increased refresh rate of 165Hz, albeit on PC only, as well as a VESA DisplayHDR 400 rating.
Then again, it shares a 1 millisecond (ms) GtG response time, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and an anti-blue-light TÜV ComfortView Plus certification with the G3223Q. It is priced at US$719.99 and is available from now, whereas the 4K/UHD variant will be $1,099.99 from March 30, 2022.
