Week 2 of reinvented USFL's inaugural season features a pair of games on Saturday, April 23. The first game pits a pair of Pennsylvania-based teams against each other while the second is between teams looking for an early edge in the divisional race.

The newest iteration of the USFL features eight teams playing all of their games in Birmingham, Alabama, with some modified rules that are intended to increase scoring opportunities and entertainment value.
So if you're wondering, "What football games are on today?" know this: There are two scheduled for today, Saturday, April 23.
Pittsburgh Maulers at Philadelphia Stars, 12 p.m. ET on FOX
Pennsylvania bragging rights are on the line when the Maulers and Stars face off for the first of two meetings during the regular season. Both lost their openers, but Philadelphia put together a better effort while Pittsburgh managed just three points and lost by 14.

Birmingham Stallions at Houston Gamblers, 7 p.m. ET on FS1
Birmingham won in Week 1 thanks to its offense while Houston was victorious in large part due to its opportunistic defense and a couple of key late stops. So it's the proverbial strength vs. strength matchup, or something has to give you if you prefer that description. Either way, the winner gets a leg up on the other in the South Division.
