The Rainbow Six Siege Invitational playoffs have begun, the UK teams are out and it’s the end of the Cinderella Story for MNM Gaming in particular.
All three teams with UK talent – MNM, Navi and Rogue – have been knocked out of the Six Invitational 2022 in the playoff stage.
First up, UK esports organisation MNM Gaming, who qualified for the 2022 Six Invitational after an incredible run of form that also saw MNM qualify for the Rainbow Six Siege European League, finished fourth in Group A. They were then beaten 2-0 by Oxygen Esports in the lower bracket of the playoffs stage and eliminated from the tournament.
MNM have UK players Neonical, Tyrant and Yuzus on their roster.
This is the end of the Cinderella Story.

MNM co-founder Kalvin Chung said: “I can only be proud and happy that everyone made it this far. Four months non stop grinding.”
Neo added: “GGs to OXG, we lose 0-2. That’s our Six Invitational journey over. Still extremely proud of the boys, showed a lot of potential for the upcoming EUL season.
“Thanks everyone for the huge amount of support we received whilst being here, love you all.”
Then, Navi, who have three UK players in Doki, Blurr and Nathan, finished third in Group D, before falling 2-1 to Spacestation in the upper bracket playoffs. They were then defeated by DarkZero 2-1 in the lower bracket, knocking them out from the Six Invitational.
Doki said after the loss:
Devastating loss again, sorry to the fans we couldn’t pull out what was expected of us.

Need to be better, back to the drawing board. #navination #sixinvitational
Finally, Rogue, who have UK player LeonGids, placed fourth in Group B, fell to Elevate 2-1 in the lower bracket.
LeonGids said on Twitter: “It’s tough to lose like that, especially when your pour hours into this event just to fall short. You can’t take away from Elevate though, Onigiri absolutely ran through us and deserved the win. They were simply better.
“We didn’t play how we’ve practiced or shown ourselves how we could be, but I’m happy to have been here. The last year has been rough for us, but to get here has always been a dream of mine. And I plan on making every one from here on out. Sorry to everyone for the early exit, we gave it our all. Thank you for your support and love, we’ll make 2022 even better.”
At the time of writing this article, TSM are currently playing against TSM in the upper bracket semi-finals.
The 2022 Six Invitational format was announced last year, where UK Rainbow Six personalities criticised the 2022 Six Invitational for having no live audience.
In other recent UK Rainbow Six esports news, Tenstar won the Rainbow Six Siege UKIN Rainbow Rumble and reached the Premier Division, and the Six Invitational also hosted a Rainbow Six Siege EU vs NA charity showmatch which donated $50,000 to UK-based charity SpecialEffect.
