There’s a new team in town. UK-based gaming outfit “Tundra Esports” has announced an expansion into the Fortnite scene with the signing of their first professional player.
Founded in 2019, Tundra has been competing across Europe and beyond, with a core focus on FIFA and DOTA 2. They pride themselves on a performance and results based approach to esports, but also branched out into content creation last summer.
In a very well-produced announcement video, Tundra revealed promising English talent Harry “Veno” Pearson as the first member of their Fortnite roster. The scene even featured a cameo from popular caster and analyst Leven2k!

Veno truly burst onto the radar of competitive Fortnite fans with an impressive 2nd place finish in FNCS All-Star Showdown. He then played the Chapter 2 Season 7 FNCS with EU titans TaySon and and rezon, coming 5th in the Grand Finals. So far, he boasts career earnings of over $200,000.
Not only is Veno a great pickup for his potential in tournaments, he has also been steadily growing his numbers on Twitch and YouTube. His back and forths on stream with new Duo partner Archie have been keeping the community entertained during all the recent Cash Cups.

With a lot of uncertainty around Fortnite esports right now, it’s encouraging to see that organisations still see it as a worthy investment. In a press release detailing Veno’s arrival, Tundra stated, “He is the first Fortnite player to join Tundra’s ranks, but he won’t be the last… Watch this space”.
It will be exciting to see who they target next to add to the team, and whether Veno can bring them any trophies (or Pickaxes) within the next few seasons.
