A thrilling Game 1 on an Ascent ended in favor of South Built as they secured the map advantage with a 13-11 win. Velocity Gaming initially led the first half of the game as they secured 8 rounds as compared to South Built’s meager 4. However, the Filipino hopefuls bounced back during the second half as they dissected Velocity’s offense.
As they went with high confidence for Game 2, South Built closed out the series in a dominant fashion by ending it 13-6. Unlike Game 1, South Built was leading in the first half as they themselves secured 8 rounds versus Velocity’s 4 rounds this time around. Despite a spook in the second half’s first two rounds, South Built stopped the Indian side from gaining more momentum and quickly finished the series off.
With that win, South Built Esports will be facing Paper Rex in the upcoming playoffs. Their showdown in the playoffs will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
