It appears some of the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP launch games for PS Plus Premium have leaked online, though it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Recently, Sony finally announced the long-rumored Project Spartacus. PlayStation Plus will be expanding come June, becoming a three-tiered service and combining some of PS Now’s features into it. In short, this new service gives players quite a few options, a massive catalog of games, and the ability to stream PS3 titles and/or download PS1, PS2, and PSP titles.
Nonetheless, it is a big library across its three tiers: PS Plus Essentials, PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium. Essentials is essentially PS Plus as it exists now, while the Extra category gives fans access to a PS Plus Collection-like catalog of 400 PS4/PS5 games, including God of War, Death Stranding, Returnal, and more. Among other features, PS Plus Premium adds 340 more, but older gen, games to the service. These have yet to be confirmed, but a recent leak may have revealed a quick peek.
According to Redditor andy24olivera, they came across the below image on their console, took a quick screenshot, and then it disappeared. This should be taken with a grain of salt, as there is no real evidence this came from the console, and there are parts of it that seem to be red flags. But, still, many would be excited to see these games on PS Plus Premium.
From the icons below, this list of games could include Silent Hill 2, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Infamous, Twisted Metal, Resident Evil 2, Daxter, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core, Rayman, Fallout: New Vegas, Ratchet and Clank, Dino Crisis, Little Big Planet 2, and others.
Obviously, some of these games are pure nostalgia from their time, such as Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core, and many of them would be definitive representations of their platforms. However, again, this could be easily faked. It is incredibly similar to the standard PS Plus Collection UI, and Silent Hill 2’s inclusion, while not impossible, is sketchy. After all, it’s no secret that Konami lost the Silent Hill 2 code.
Across the bottom, there are also some listed demos—part of PS Plus Premium’s Timed Trials, presumably. The games put as advertisements there include God of War: Ragnarok, Forspoken, what appears to be Final Fantasy 16, and perhaps the biggest red flag: Spider-Man 2. That’s a 2023 title which, if it got a demo, would not be anytime soon, and so it’s odd to see it there. Final Fantasy 16 is sketchy too, and it’s not like God of War: Ragnarok would definitely be there. Some are still worried about another delay. It’s not impossible that these games were included as placeholders, but it’s very sketchy.
Fans should take this with a HUGE grain of salt, but even if this is fake, what it makes clear is how great the line-up could be if Sony chooses the best possible PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games out of the gate.
