Pennsylvania gaming fund bringing over $9M in economic development grants to Allegheny County – Pittsburgh Business Times – Pittsburgh Business Times

Over $9.3 million in grants is being disseminated to various projects throughout Allegheny County via the state’s Gaming Economic Development and Tourism Fund.
The fund is made up of the daily 5% in gross terminal revenue that each licensed gaming entity, mainly casinos, pays into by law. Local entities, which include non-profit and for-profit businesses, municipalities and councils of government, can apply to the county for grant money to fund economic development projects that fit the required specifications. The grants are administered by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.
Several state representatives and senators from Allegheny County announced the projects within their boroughs and districts that will be funded. Projects of note include:
