BEDFORD — After one night of wrestling at the Thomas Chevrolet Tournament at Bedford High School, Penn Cambria sits in seventh place with 76 team points in the 31-team field.
The Panthers have two wrestlers in the semifinals, including Trent Hoover who won at 126 over Huntingdon’s Landon Dunsmore, and Braeden Oravecz, who won at 215 over North Schuylkill’s Jared Tinari
Central, in 24th place with 26 points, also has two wrestlers in the semifinals. Ty Biesinger at 113, who beat Northern Garrett’s Mathew Beitzel, and Jaxon Matthews at 132, who defeated Beaver Falls’ Gabe Lilly. Claysburg-Kimmel, in 28th place with 19 points, has Cole Claycomb in the semifinals, thanks to a win over Williamson’s Owen Cummings
Other area teams competing include Central Cambria, Cambria Heights and Northern Bedford.
