The Sibol national team members is sporting a new thread in the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam as the Philippine Electronic Sports Organization (PeSO) unveiled the team’s official jersey during its campaign kickoff on Thursday, March 17 at the TV 5 Media Center in Mandaluyong.

Overdrive Creative Studios CEO and lead designer Dani Rogacion presented the new national team uniforms which were designed to embody the country’s excellence and unity in its campaign in the esports events in the biennial meet
“We do have Lakad Matatag as one of our guiding principles as a team but we also want to be reminded that we are united in gaming and we want to visualize that,” shared Rogacion.
The official uniform will be in three colors – black, navy blue and white, a jacket and jogger pants.

Rogacion added that the team wanted to keep the simple and fresh look of the jersey while also incorporating a lot of Filipino textiles in the design evident in the zigzag patterns in the uniform.
“You see a lot of textile patterns wherein nag-iintersect siya kasi we wanted to show na we’re gamers but we’re also united to our goal kasi nga we wanted to show that gaming is a force of good especially in this trying times. If there’s somethin that we can do it’s to show that gamers are also good role models din,” she added.
Aside from the patterns, Rogacion also incorporated three golds, one silver and one bronze – the country’s medal haul in the 2019 edition – in the design on the jersey’s shoulder pads which serves as a reminder that Sibol is the team to beat in the esports events.
“There’s a reminder of our excellence that we achieved this feat in the last SEA Games. This is something na we want to show that we are the team to beat and that we are the country to beat din.
