CRESSON — Tyrone went 1-1 on Sunday at the Penn Cambria Tournament in high school softball.
Tyrone lost 8-4 to Westmont Hilltop but defeated Penn Cambria, 12-0.
In the victory, which improved the Lady Eagles to 11-8, Tyrone got four hits from Maci Brodzina and three hits each from Madelyn Rockwell and Maci Lingenfelter. Beth Pearson and Tiffany Tuskovich each had two RBIs. Winning pitcher Summer Shaw struck out seven and walked one.
In the loss, Tyrone managed two RBIs and two hits from Brodzina.
The Lady Hilltoppers received three hits and an RBI from Bailey Thornton to go with two hits and three RBIs from Quinn Kuzniak.
Penn Cambria went 0-2 after losing 8-1 to Westmont Hilltop. Madison Cavalet drove in the lone run for the Lady Panthers.

Heights triumphs
CRESSON — Cambria Heights scored three runs in the top of the fourth and it was enough for a 3-2 win over Penn Cambria in high school softball Saturday.
Winning pitcher Sidney Nihart gave up four hits and struck out seven. She also drive in two runs. Teammate Karin Adams had two hits and an RBI.
Penn Cambria got an RBI from Lily Sheehan.

AAHS falls
WILLIAMSPORT — Williamsport scored 10 runs in the first three innings en route to a 14-2 win over Altoona Saturday in five innings.
The Lady Lions got two hits from Gracie Wilt and solo RBI efforts from Abby Smearman and Hannah Baker.

Tigers sweep
PHILIPSBURG — In a twinbill from Friday, Hollidaysburg defeated Philipsburg-Osceola, 6-1 and 11-1, to improve to 8-10.
In the 6-1 victory, winning pitcher Maria Malone struck out six and walked just two in scattering six hits. Offensively, Sydney Shade had two hits and two RBIs to go with two hits and an RBI from Abigail Steiner.
In the 11-1 victory, winning pitcher Olivia Vincent gave up eight his, struck out four and walked two. She helped herself out with three hits and two RBIs.
Teammates Breana Dawson and Steiner each homered. Dawson, Steiner and Madison Alexy each drove in three runs with three hits.
The Lady Mounties fell to 4-11.
