There’s a couple of gems!
When I’d first reported about Crysis 4, I couldn’t help but mention that nobody had anticipated this game. Crytek had completely surprised the gaming industry, as everyone had presumed this franchise was dead.
Despite the surprise and excitement surrounding Crysis 4, Crytek hasn’t provided much information on this upcoming game. Fortunately, I can confirm that the fourth instalment in this franchise will come to the PC and Xbox Series S/X. But can your computer run Crysis 4? That’s the real question. We won’t know until Crytek provides more information on the game system requirements, but I can almost guarantee that you’ll need a strong GPU like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 3060.

I hope Crytek will support features like Nvidia’s 2nd generation of raytracing or AMD’s 2nd generation of RNDA architecture. This would ensure we’re maintaining the peak graphics available for Crysis 4. However, Nvidia and AMD could announce their third generation of raytracing before the fourth instalment of Crysis is released. As such, most of us will have to upgrade our computers. But I’m sure that none of us will have any complaints. I mean, who doesn’t love to get inside their PC and change things up?
Unfortunately, Crytek hasn’t provided an official release date since Crysis 4 – The PC Edition was first announced. This means we could be waiting for years before the fourth installment is released. As such, I’d recommend that everyone get prepared to upgrade their computers. It’s almost guaranteed that Nvidia and AMD will have launched another series of GPUs by the time Crysis 4 is launched.

I’ve been asked numerous times about when Crysis 4 will have its official release date. So, here’s my answer. I’m thinking that Crysis 4 will launch somewhere between 2023 and 2025. But my presumptions on Crytek’s schedule could be entirely wrong. They could surprise the gaming industry again and provide a release date by E3 2022. Here’s hoping, right?
I expect the fourth installment to maintain graphic and audio settings that players can change at any moment. However, that’s pretty standard for any game. So, now I’m wondering if Crysis 4 will have any other features that we can use? But based on my speculation, I’d say that Crysis 4 will have an exclusive multiplayer mode for the PC. It would allow everyone to take full advantage of their GPUs and CPUs, while maintaining the best graphics experience possible for a multiplayer mode.

It seems somewhat obvious that Crytek would include an exclusive multiplayer mode for Crysis 4. However, I’m speculating about these features, and nobody should take them as fact, as we could see an entirely different set of gameplay features for the PC version of Crytek 4.
Honestly, I’m not sure if Crysis 4 will run on the Steam Deck. It’s technically possible because the Steam Deck supports games like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Elden Ring. But there could be challenges in this mobile console handling a next-generation game like Crysis 4.

There is hope, though, as EA Play is now supported with the Steam catalog. This means we have everything we need to operate this game on the Steam Deck. But there haven’t been any announcements about EA Play supporting the Steam Deck for Crysis 4. So, take this speculative information with a grain of salt.

Despite my reservations about Crysis 4 being on the Steam Deck, I wouldn’t be surprised if Electronic Arts and Crytek allowed us to experience the fourth installment on our Steam Decks. It would make financial sense for their board of investors, and that’s enough said right there.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much to take from the cinematic teaser trailer for Crysis 4. There isn’t an ounce of gameplay footage to indicate what this game’s about, which is somewhat disappointing for me and other fans. But the cinematic teaser trailer is beautiful and still got me excited for what’s to come. So, I’m confident that long-time supporters of Crysis will have a similar feeling to me.

The PC Requirements I’m about to provide you are purely speculative. There isn’t any confirmation on what GPUs and CPUs are required for this upcoming game. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if we need an entirely new set of components to run Crysis 4. But I’m hoping that won’t be the case and that we’ll be capable of running Crysis 4 with the following system requirements:
