Do you know that you can use your V-Bucks across almost all platforms in Fortnite using a single wallet? Well, here is how to use Shared Wallet in Fortnite!
With the release of the v20.40 update, Epic Games officially revealed a brand new feature for Fortnite, which allows players to be able to access a single wallet for V-Bucks across all platforms. This simply means if you have earned or purchased some V-Bucks while playing Fortnite on PC, for example, you can use and spend it on consoles as well.
With this feature, you no longer need to worry about migrating from one platform to another as all of them will use a single shared wallet, where all your in-game currency is stored. Now, if you want to use this feature now, we can help you out with that!
If you have been playing Fortnite for a while, then you probably have an Epic Games account already, but if you haven’t created one yet, make sure to visit Epic Games Store to create your account.
Now, you should head to the “Accounts” tab in your profile. Click on “Connections” and link your Epic Games account to any platform that you own. Keep in mind that Shared Wallet is currently supported between PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Android, PC, and Cloud Gaming.
Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch users cannot use this feature for now. Epic Games didn’t mention when we can expect Switch to join the supported platforms.
After you are done linking the accounts, your Shared Wallet will be active and you can use your V-Bucks on any of the supported platforms no matter where you get them from. Keep in mind that this will not apply to your previously owned V-Bucks before v20.40.
Fortnite is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Android, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
