The Epic Games Store releases a new free game for users to claim while also confirming the free game for Thursday, March 24.
Every Thursday at 10am CT, the Epic Games Store gives away a new free game while also revealing to fans what next week's free game offering will be. That's exactly what happened with the Epic Games Store on Thursday, March 17, as city management game Cities: Skylines was removed from the free games lineup and replaced by first-person horror game In Sound Mind.
In Sound Mind is the Epic Games Store free game from now until Thursday, March 24 at 10:00am CT, at which point it too will be replaced. As usual, the Epic Games Store has announced next week's free game in advance, confirming that the next Epic Games Store free game is Demon's Tilt, a title that originally released for the launcher in May of 2021. Demon's Tilt hasn't even been available on the Epic Games Store for a year yet, which should make it one of the more appealing Epic Games Store free games.

For those who may not be familiar with the game, Demon's Tilt originally released in 2019 for platforms other than the Epic Games Store. It's a pinball game with a horror theme, combining traditional pinball gameplay with shoot 'em up-style action. It features secrets and power-ups like many of the other pinball video games do, but one way that it differs from the rest is through its use of boss fights.
Demon's Tilt should be worth checking out for action game fans, even if they don't usually consider themselves a big fan of pinball. But before Epic Games Store users even need to worry about claiming Demon's Tilt for their collection, they can snag In Sound Mind while it's free. In Sound Mind is a first-person horror game that earned somewhat mixed reviews when it first launched in September of last year, but should still appeal to fans of the genre. It also features music by The Living Tombstone, so anyone that's a fan of them may especially get a kick out of the game.
Regardless, In Sound Mind is completely free for Epic Games Store users to claim, so there's zero risk in grabbing it for one's library. Unlike other free game programs, there's no subscription fee tied to getting free games through the Epic Games Store; all users have to do is download the launcher.
In Sound Mind will be free until March 24, at which point it will be replaced by Demon's Tilt. Demon's Tilt will then be replaced by a different free game come March 31, though what that is exactly remains to be seen. We do know that the Epic Games Store free games will continue throughout 2022, though, so there should be plenty more free titles for fans to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead.
