<span class="post-meta-author"><i class="fa fa-user"></i><a href="https://www.fantasycruncher.com/articles/author/james/" title="">James Smizek </a></span> <span class="tie-date"><i class="fa fa-clock-o"></i>16 hours ago</span> <span class="post-cats"><i class="fa fa-folder"></i><a href="https://www.fantasycruncher.com/articles/category/esports/" rel="category tag">eSPORTS</a></span> <br><strong><em>GenG (GEN) [-637] vs. Kwangdong Freecs (KDF)</em></strong><br>GenG carries the largest odds to win today and one of the only two remaining undefeated teams in the LCK with T1. GenG has been a playoff team the last few years but this year is the first real “rebuild” that brought in more talent than left behind. Chovy in mid lane and Peanut in the jungle add two of the best at their designation and so far it has shown, despite only having a win against Damwon as a crown jewel to their name. It will be interesting once GenG starts playing the T1’s and Nongshims, but at first glance GenG and T1 are in a tier above all else in this league. That being said Damwon will eventually gel with their new roster and Nongshim has a roster that can grab a win at any time. This Freecs squad is just 1-3 (2-6) so far on the year but carry some names like Teddy, FATE, and Ellim that should allow them to compete once they get a little more time together. I will say now that Kwangdong will certainly be a team to pull an upset down the line for us. However, I just don’t think that time is right now. Three GenG players are in the top-10 for overall KDA and Lehends is second in the league in assists per game. Chovy and Ruler are dominating the league when it comes to gold per minute and doing what your damage carries should do. This is a team that I don’t see the upside in picking against them as not only are they winning, they are winning by a lot with every non-support starter averaging over 75 fantasy points per contest through four matches and Ruler at 87 and Chovy at 93. These numbers are ridiculously high and while this is the expensive pick of the night, the ceiling is massive.<br><strong><em>Victory 5 (V5) [-115] vs. Weibo Gaming (WBG) </em></strong><br>I don’t think anyone really knew what to expect out of V5 coming into this split, they just posted a horrible Summer, though did add some big-name pieces in Rookie and Karsa to the roster. Through three matches on the season, V5 is 3-0, though each match has gone to three games. On Saturday V5 upset Top Esports, and they hold wins over Rare Atom and Team WE as well, which aren’t really quality wins but wins nontheless. Rookie and Photic both find themselves in the top-8 for kills per game and in the top-12 for KDA. While Photic might not have been a name you were super familiar with at season start (spending time with TES academy), he has proved to be an early force this split. This is not the V5 you remember which can be hard with always moving rosters, but this is a team that has the pieces to compete all year. Now, that being said, Weibo Gaming (formerly Suning) has a roster that has made Worlds and playoffs with the only real difference in being TheShy in top lane. Weibo sits at 3-1 and 7-3 in their games, though they also have only played one on paper team to be feared in BLG and lost in three games. Weibo is actually a slight underdog here, but priced like a major underdog. We can get Angle and Huanfeng both for just $6,600 which is a silly price. SofM is literally the cheapest jungler on the board on DraftKings this slate. Keep in mind, this is basically a coin-flip of a matchup and the Weibo team has way more experience playing together and have proven to be a winner. This is a large pricing mistake and one that allows you to really roster Weibo at will with any other stack. Because of this, I think Weibo is chalk on this slate. That being said, V5 may have some crazy ownership leverage if you want to build a little different.<br><strong><em>FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) vs. LNG ESports (LNG) [-195]</em></strong><br>Simply put, this one should be a banger. FPX enters at 3-1, though dropping a recent set to JDG in what is a pretty big upset. The FPX roster is retooled a bit here with Tian, Doinb, Nuguri, and Crisp gone, but still a lot of talent in Beichuan, Gori, Xiaolaohu, and Hang. LNG is undefeated and 8-1 in their games with a returning roster of top, jungle, and ADC, but Doinb and LvMao in mid and support. This took an already good team and made them even better and so far it is showing. Doinb also gets to face his former squad in what is a little narrative for us. Light is hands down the early favorite for MVP, leading the league in KDA with a massive 15.29. That is 5.11 kills, 6.78 assists, and just 0.78 deaths per game. Light only has seven deaths total on the year and also leads Gold per minute in the league. Games so far have been so dependant on junglers and roaming junglers that I instantly am giving an edge to the team where I think the jungle edge lies. Here, I think it is pretty clear with Tarzan. This will be a good match and one that could see three games, but I think there is enough kill equity where you almost want three games. LNG is a powerhouse and not a team I am going to pick against, especially when we can get them priced third or fourth at their positions.<br><strong><em>Fredit Brion (BRO) [-115] vs. DRX (DRX)</em></strong><br>Despite Fredit Brion actually being a slight favorite at the time of typing this, they are actually priced below all DRX players. These teams both carry 1-3 records, with Fredit winning one more game at 3-7 compared to DRX 2-6. DRX was the worst team in the LCK last split, but really turned the roster around, bringing in Deft, Kingen, Zeka and Beryl. So while the record isn’t great, this is a squad of decorated players. Not only that, DRX has had the toughest schedule to start the year, having to face both T1 and GenG, as well as a loss to Liiv Sandbox. In the same breath, Fredit has also faced T1 and GenG, but also Damwon. I am worried about the pace here compared to the other matches on this slate and think that both sides here are just complete tournament darts. These are not teams that slay out, in fact they both sit low in kills per game and KDA. Fredit has two players in the top-3 for CS/M, so these teams are fine farming to scale. Of course, anything can happen, but I don’t have a ton of interest in this one.<br><span class="shortcode"><div class="fc-cheatsheet-container"><table class="fc-cheatsheet"><thead><tr><th>$
