Beamdog announces first-person fantasy roguelite MythForce for PC – Gematsu

Beamdog, known for its Enhanced Editions of the Baldur’s Gate series and more, has announced MythForce, a first-person fantasy roguelite game inspired by 80s cartoons. It will launch in Early Access for PC via Epic Games Store on April 20 for $29.99.
The Early Access launch includes four playable heroes for MythForce Episode 1: Bastion of the Beastlord. Beamdog will add to the game through additional episodes and updates incorporating player feedback throughout the Early Access period.
“I’m beyond excited to finally show off our team’s original work,” said Beamdog CEO Trent Oster in a press release. “MythForce is pure, unadulterated fun—right out of the Saturday mornings of my childhood. With a simple yet satisfying game loop, it’s a big departure from the RPG classics we’re known for, but the Beamdog DNA is evident if you know where to look.”
