In map 1 at Haven, South Built lost to Paper Rex in a close 13-9 scoreline. The Filipino hopefuls showed Paper Rex sparks of their brilliance as they finished the first half with a four-round lead. Paper Rex, however, bounced back and dominated later in the second half. They absolutely gave no room to breathe as they only allowed South Built to take only a single round at Round 19.
Unfortunately, the series ended at Split as Paper Rex won map 2 with a domineering score of 13-7. Infamously known for first half troubles, South Built only took 3 rounds away from Paper Rex as their weak defense was immensely exploited. Despite a glimmer of hope in the second half, South Built ran out of steam whilst on the attacking side which led to Paper Rex’s game and match victory.
With this loss, South Built Esports moves to the lower bracket wherein they will face BOOM Esports tomorrow, March 25, 2022.
