Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,078,761,266 for the month of December 2021, a gain of 41.58 percent over the same period in 2020. The South Shore Lake Tahoe casino’s win was down 4.39 percent over the same period with their gaming revenue of $17,067,309, according to the State’s monthly gaming revenue report.
Last month’s report showed over $18.5M in gaming revenue on the South Shore and $1.15M for the state of Nevada.
A strong showing on the Las Vegas Strip put the state up by such a high percentage. Revenues at casinos on the strip were up 76.41 percent over last year. Last month, the revenue at those casinos was up 122.8 percent, showing a strong rebound from a year with COVID closures.
North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 16.93 percent gain in the «win» with their reported $2,327,765.
The «gaming win» represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
Carson City and the Carson Valley’s win was $9,964,004, up 1.88 percent from December 2020.
Meanwhile, casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County also saw gaming-related revenue in the positive, with Sparks up 3.07 percent, Reno, 8.06 percent, and the county as a whole, 8.06 percent.
The State has collected $652,086,202 in percentage fees to date for the fiscal year which began July 1.
