One of the biggest weeks in Claret & Blue continental history was kickstarted with some FIFA fun on Tuesday, with West Ham Gaming taking on Eintracht Frankfurt Esports in a UEFA Europa League-themed friendly!
West Ham’s professional FIFA player Alfie ‘AC RedLac’ Calder fell 5-4 on golden goal – after two pulsating legs which both finished 2-2 – to ‘Andy’ Gube, Frankfurt’s representative.

Every Hammer will hope the non-competitive game does not mirror the two sides’ UEFA Europa League semi-final result this week with the Hammers hoping to overcome Frankfurt’s real-life players on Thursday evening in the second leg in Germany after a 2-1 defeat at London Stadium last week.
In a case of life imitating art, RedLac managed to see off ‘Mence’ of Olympique Lyonnais earlier in April; after drawing 1-1 in the first leg, akin to the real tie, RedLac and West Ham won the second 2-1!
