VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 continues to bring high-level competition to our screens. This weekend will host one of the most awaited matches of VCT 2022 Latin America South Stage 1 Challengers. Two undefeated teams of the league, KRÜ Esports and Leviatán, will face each other to taste their first loss.
Let’s dive into the teams & details of the upcoming series.
Krü Esports
Both teams’ players are dominating the scene when it comes to the stats. KRÜ Esports’ duelist player Keznit is leading the event with 1.39 Rating and 286 ACS, while Leviatán’s kiNgg is following him with 1.36 Rating and 239 ACS. Besides these two names, the top ten contains nine players from KRÜ and Leviatán.
The 2021 VALORANT season went like a dream for KRÜ Esports. The Argentina-based organization, which established its VALORANT squad back in January 2021, managed to achieve huge success last season. Besides local achievements such as winning VCT 2021 LAS Stage 2 Challengers 1 and VCT 2021 LATAM Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, KRÜ made its name in the global arena as well.
First, the Latin America representative participated in VALORANT’s first-ever LAN event, VCT 2021 Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik. Even though it bid early farewell to the tournament, this was the first international step of the roster. After that, KRÜ showed that it’s a real deal by qualifying for another international event, VCT 2021 Stage 3 Masters – Berlin. With the performance it showed in Berlin, the organization became one of the first teams to earn a spot at the VALORANT Champions 2021.
The miracle story of KRÜ Esports has occurred in VALORANT Champions 2021. Reaping the fruits of patience and trusting the process, the LATAM-based team reached the semifinals by beating the world’s giants one by one. Although the squad was so close to the grand final, even this was an enormous achievement for KRÜ Esports.
KRÜ retained its core roster for the 2022 season, except the team’s coach, Onur, left the team and joined Leviatán. With all the experience and confidence they gained in the previous year, KRÜ’s players have been dominating the scene. The team is standing in first place in the league without a loss currently.
Leviatán is the rising name of the Latin America scene. The organization wasn’t among the forefront teams in 2021 due to bad results throughout the season. It failed to participate in every major tournament, couldn’t achieve something important, and became an ordinary team in the scene.
The transformation started in November 2021 when ex-Australs roster joined under Leviatán’s banner. The roster was among the best ones in the region and its successes throughout 2021 were proof of that. Besides winning a couple of minor tournaments, ex-Australs triumphed at VCT 2021 LATAM South Stage 1 Masters.
Now, the ex-Australs as part of Leviatán keeps showing its strength, winning three games out of three in VCT 2022 Latin America South Stage 1 Challengers and being a serious contender for the trophy.
When considering Valorant betting on this series, I would go for total rounds over 21.5 on every map played, and a total map score of over over 2.5. All four of these selections would have between x1.8 and x1.9 returns at most providers.
