Is Knockout City crashing on Xbox One or Windows PC? Is it not launching or does it crash on the Loading screen or with a Black screen? A lot of users have been complaining that Knockout City keeps crashing. According to some, the game crashes immediately after launches, whereas, for some, the crashing happens amidst gameplay. Whatever the case is, it can be resolved and we are going to show how.
Why does my Knockout City keep crashing?
Knockout City is a demanding game, even though, it doesn’t require a lot of horsepowers, you still need to have a decent configuration to play this game. Users tend to overlook the system requirements and end up buying the game which is not compatible with their system. We have mentioned the system requirements for you to check.
We should also not forget about the software requirements to play the game. It needs DirectX 12 and updated drivers, if you fail to provide Knockout City those tools, it will crash and freeze. If system requirement is not an issue, then another cause could be corrupted game files. As there are a lot of files that need to be loaded as soon as you instruct your PC to launch the game if any of those files are not loaded, chances are your game will crash. The good news is, you can verify and repair those files with the help of your drivers.
Knockout City keeps crashing Xbox One
If Knockout City is crashing on your Xbox console, then try the following solutions to resolve the issue.
- Restart the console
- Install the latest game patch
- Delete Knockout City cache
- Reinstall the game
Let us talk about them in detail.
1] Restart the console
Glitches are one of the most common causes of this issue. To get rid of them, we need to close the game and then restart the console. This flushes out the content in the temporary memory and hopefully, resolves the issue.
2] Install the latest game patch
The issue that you are facing can be a bug. In this case, the only thing we can do is wait for a fix. The good news is, it seems like the developers are well aware of the issue, and they are planning to deploy an update that will resolve the issue. Your game will be automatically updated once the game patch is released.
3] Delete Knockout City cache
If Knockout City is crashing on your computer, then maybe the game caches are corrupted. What we need to do is flush the Knockout City for new ones to be created. Just follow the on-screen instructions to delete the Knockout City cache.
- Press on the Xbox (middle) button from your controller.
- Go to the Home > My apps & games (or Games).
- Highlight Knockout City and press the menu button.
- Select Manage game and add-ons > Saved data.
- Click Delete all.
After deleting the cache, you need to restart the console and replay the game. Hopefully, this will do the job for you.
4] Reinstall the game
If nothing works, then maybe your game files are corrupted. In that case, the only thing you need to do is reinstall the game, Knockout City. To uninstall the game follow the prescribed steps.
- Press on the Xbox (middle) button from your controller.
- Go to the Home > My apps & games (or Games).
- Highlight Knockout City and press the menu button.
- Select Uninstall.
Now, reboot your console and then reinstall the game. Hopefully, this will do the trick for you.

Knockout City wont launch; Keeps crashing on PC
If Knockout City keeps crashing on your PC, the following are the things you need to do.
- Update your Graphics Drivers
- Verify game files
- Update or Install DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributable
- Troubleshoot in Clean Boot
- Reinstall the launcher or game
Let us talk about them in detail.
1] Update your Graphics Drivers
First up, we need to get rid of any kind of compatibility issue caused by your Graphics Drivers. There are various ways to update the drivers. We have mentioned some hereinafter, so, select one and get on with it.
- Install Optional Updates from Settings.
- Go to the manufacturer’s website and get your driver.
- Update your driver from the Device Manager.
- Download freeware to update drivers.
After updating your Graphics Drivers, restart your computer and reopen the game. Hopefully, it will do the trick for you.
2] Verify game files
One of the most common reasons for abrupt crashing is the corruption of the game files. Fortunately, there are ways to repair the corrupted files. All, you need to do is follow the prescribed steps and you will be good to go.
Steam
- Launch Steam.
- Go to Library, right-click on the game, and select Properties.
- Click on Local Files > Verify the Integrity of Game Files.
Origin
- Launch Origin and go to Library.
- Right-click on the game you want to repair
- Select Repair Game.
This will take a little time, so, give it that, and check if the issue persists.
3] Update or Install DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributable
If the second solution is to no avail, the chances are, we are not dealing with corruption. Maybe the issue is caused because Knockout City is not getting the environment it needs to run. To provide that environment, we need to update or Install DirectX Version 12 as mentioned in this system requirement. Also, install Visual C++ Redistributable. Hopefully, this will do the job for you.
4] Troubleshoot in Clean Boot
You might have a ton of apps on your computer, each app will have its own process. Chances are, an unknown process is interfering with your game and causing the issue. We would recommend you to perform Clean Boot to find the culprit. Once you know what’s causing the issue, you can then uninstall that app and hopefully, it will work. If you can not remove that program, then the only thing you can do is play the game in Clean Boot State.
5] Reinstall the launcher or game
Lastly, if nothing works, then the only option you have is to reinstall the launcher, and if that doesn’t work reinstall the game. This can resolve any kind of corruption to get rid of the crashing. So, go ahead and uninstall the program, then download its fresh copy and install it.
