Party Astronauts (ASTRO) (7:30 AM EST) (-4400 PLY)
The new groups kick off the slate and PLY find themselves in a one-sided matchup in their favor as they enter as the 4th ranked team in the world against a rank 40th ASTRO squad. The battle of the snipers will be significant here with ASTRO having their most efficient slayer in PwnAlone with a 1.44 K/D being the player that will have to continue performing well to give his team a chance. However, despite the less kill-efficiency as of late the experience and slight damage edge of 83.3 per round from sh1ro compared to PwnAlone’s 81.3 may give PLY a chance to slow down PwnAlone. Jonji on the other hand, has been dealing the most damage out of both teams at 89.7 per round so he has a chance to contribute greatly for ASTRO. Easier said than done though because PLY has two players in Ax1LE and Hobbit who have dealt that amount of damage in the past each which puts even more pressure on ASTRO. That being said PLY should be able to prevail due to the experience and likelihood of their players being able to keep if not deal just as much damage in fights together.
Movistar Riders (MR) v.s. GODSENT (GDSNT) (11:00 AM EST) (-117 GDSNT)
MR enters this match on a three-game winning streak at a 23rd rating against a team within the similar range in GDSNT at 28th. Fortunately for MR they were able to defeat GDSNT in a series 2-0 the last time these teams met. The slaying was quite even across the board for MR and mopoz/alex led the way in kill-efficiency with +12 kill-death differentials for MR. Alex is capable of performing well in this matchup once again due to him leading the way in damage at 80.7 for MR so GDSNT should focus preventing him from doing well to get a chance at their revenge. The closest player to that amount of damage per round would be dumau (78 damage) but it won’t be enough alone to help GDSNT prevail, especially against two players that have had success performing well against GDSNT. Since only one of those two players from MR have not regressed much lately, this match should be closer though and can go either way.
Team Liquid (TL) v.s. Berlin International Gaming (BIG) (2:30 PM EST) (-144 BIG)
Recently formed TL debuts this new ESL season against a BIG squad that is ranked higher than them at the moment at 17th compared to their 31st ranking. BIG also enters this match looking to extend their four-game winning streak and TL was able to sweep BIG with their past lineup 2-0 in their last faceoff which should make this rematch interesting. EliGE had his way in that last matchup along with his teammate NAF with +26 and +14 kill-death differentials which would be difficult to replicate but says a lot of how dominant they could be themselves. Also, EliGE has potential to be problematic for BIG entering this match with 98.1 damage per round which is the highest among both teams at the moment. The player that is closest to that range is tabseN (83.8 damage per round) of BIG who was kept quiet in the previous matchup and the second least efficient. That being said if tabseN is unable to perform really well it may end up a struggle throughout the match for BIG with TL having multiple players dealing 80+ damage as of late.
DraftKings CoD Esports DFS Rundown (CDL) – March 20, 2022 Los Angeles Guerillas (LAG) v.s. …
FantasyCruncher is a set of tools that were developed for DFS players by DFS players.
