Launch Trailer
Director’s Cut was officially confirmed for PC back in early January with a release window of Spring 2022. However, we didn’t know the exact release date. Yesterday, the developer uploaded the launch trailer for the game that revealed the release date. You can watch the trailer below.

Contents of Director’s Cut
Death Stranding Director’s Cut comes with a lot of cool stuff. You will get access to new weapons, story missions, and additional delivery support systems like Cargo Catapult, Buddy Bot, and more. A Firing Range and a Race Track will be added as well. You will be able to check your performance on the race track via an online leaderboard.
The melee combat will be drastically improved and you will have the ability to replay Boss Fights (Thank You for this!!!). You can check out our previous article for more information about it.
Price and Upgrade Path
You can purchase Death Stranding Director’s Cut via Epic Games Store and Steam for only $39.99. However, there’s an upgrade path available for owners of the base game as well. By spending $10, they can upgrade their game to the Director’s Cut without losing any progress.
Previous Hints
The PC port of Death Stranding Director’s Cut has been previously suggested, mentioned in the leaked Intel report. The said report claimed that the DC edition will utilize Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) technology for PC. It is the Intel equivalent of Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR.
Possible Sequel
The developer hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of a sequel. However, given the success of the original game, it seems very likely. Also, Norman Reedus, the actor who plays the main protagonist, claimed a while ago that a sequel is in development.
