A new mod has brought one of Cyberpunk 2077’s best PS5 features to PC for players who enjoy using DuelSense 5’s revolutionary adaptive triggers.
A new Cyberpunk 2077 mod allows PC players to fully utilize one of the PS5 version’s best exclusive features, as long as they have one of Sony’s revolutionary DuelSense controllers. Many players have been revisiting Cyberpunk’s Night City after the 1.5 patch addressed many of the game’s issues. Glitches, system crashes, and uneven experiences plagued the game’s release when it first launched in December of 2020. Since then, many features have been added and reworked into the game.
Years of hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 were squashed with its buggy release. Players hoping to enjoy the game on last-gen consoles were given a barely playable version. Other players on PC and newer consoles also experienced so many issues that many disappointed gamers sought a refund for the game. It took more than a year, but CD Projekt Red finally brought the game to an enjoyable state with a considerable patch across every system the game is available on. The developer recently announced that their work on the next Witcher game has begun, but that doesn’t mean Cyberpunk 2077 is done receiving new content, especially from the mod community.
PC players can now enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 with the same adaptive trigger feedback that has previously been exclusive to people who purchased the game on the PlayStation 5. Reported via Wccftech, the new mod can be downloaded (from Nexusmods) and installed on the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077. The PS5’s DuelSense controllers support adaptive triggers that adjust the pressure and feedback players encounter with the controller’s triggers when playing the game. The controllers also have an advanced vibration feature that will change depending on which weapons players are using and what sort of mayhem Cyberpunk players are getting into. With the mod, players will also be able to customize the adaptive triggers settings for more than forty types of weapons, helping weapons feel different from each other through controller vibrational feedback. Many claim it’s a revolutionary experience once they are able to try to feature for themselves.
When Cyberpunk launched in a less than ideal state, many talented modders took it upon themselves to make the game a better experience. Some mods looked to improve the game’s visuals and gameplay, while others re-added features the developers originally promised but eventually removed, like wall-running. Modders helped fix the game before the developers could implement more significant changes, and modders will most likely keep improving and adding content to Cyberpunk for years to come.
Cyberpunk 2077’s launch will likely go down in gaming history as one of the worst for a high-profile game. Thankfully, the game’s developers spent the time improving the game and making it worth a revisit with many of the game’s issues fixed and new content still planned for the near future. Adaptive triggers will help fans feel more immersed in Cyberpunk 2077’s first-person action if they are willing to install the mod and revisit Night City.
