Acer has announced the ConceptD 100, a compact desktop PC that the company bills as offering ‘full-sized features’. As such, the ConceptD will be available with up to a Core i7 processor from Intel’s Alder Lake series. Unfortunately, Acer has not disclosed which Alder Lake processors will be coming to the ConceptD 100. Also, the ConceptD 100 measures 137.4 x 373 x 359 mm, which should be small enough to fit on most desks.
Moreover, the ConceptD 100 offers either the NVIDIA T400 or NVIDIA T1000, both professional graphics cards that NVIDIA bases on its Turing architecture. For reference, the pair utilise the TU117 GPU, also found in the GeForce GTX 1650. While the NVIDIA T1000 features the same volume of shaders, TMUs and ROPs as the GeForce GTX 1650, the NVIDIA T400 has a cut-down TU117 die.
Separately, the ConceptD 100 ships with Windows 11 Pro, up to 12 GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 RAM and a choice of PCIe Gen4 SSD or 7,200 RPM HDD storage. Moreover, the machine comes with Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and 2.5 Gbit Ethernet. According to Acer, the ConceptD 100 will be available in Africa, Europe and the Middle East from September. So far, the company has confirmed that the desktop PC will retail for €999 in Europe; pricing in Africa and the Middle East remains unknown at this stage. Likewise, it is unclear whether Acer plans to offer the ConceptD 100 in China or North America.
