LoL: Wild Rift event in 31st SEA Games.
MANILA, Philippines–Sibol, the Philippines’ esports contingent to the 31st Southeast Asian Games, suffered a pair of crushing losses on Saturday.
The men’s Wild Rift squad failed to capture a single victory in its four matches throughout the group stage, dooming its bid. It was the first Filipino crew to bow out of medal contention in the biennial meet’s esports showcase.

Filipino bets over at the Fifa Online 4 contest were just as unproductive later in the evening, dropping all of their matches, including the last one against host Vietnam.
However, all hope is not lost for the Nationals.

Sibol’s women’s team can avenge its male counterpart when it plunges into action this Sunday.
Six Sibol squads also remain in the hunt for a medal over at League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire, CrossFire, PUBG, and Arena of Valor.

The Philippines is the defending champions in the esports showcase, having collected five medals—three golds, one silver, and a bronze—during the 2019 staging of the biennial meet in Manila.
Back in March, Sibol head coach Ralph Llabares promised to deliver a better medal haul.
“From 50 percent last year—I’ll put my name on the line— realistically speaking, I’m expecting a little higher. Around 70 percent, at least, that we’ll perform better,” he said.
