The DXRacer CRAFT Series Gaming Chair aims to provide limitless customizability without sacrificing comfort, making it the perfect for streamers.
The DXRacer Craft Series is a new series from gaming chair experts DXRacer that aims to provide customizability without sacrificing comfort or quality. It’s an ambitious goal, as each chair can theoretically be a one-of-a-kind creation. In this way, the series is a natural fit for up-and-coming or popular streamers looking to build their brand or show it off on their stream. While streamers are likely going to be the biggest target demographic for the DXRacer Craft Series, the chair’s multipurpose design and range of options make it great fit for just about any gamer.
Unlike many customizable gaming accessories that use screen printing to display custom logos or colors, the DXRacer Craft Series employs customizable embroidery options. This helps the custom elements really stand out. The embroidered logos on the front and back of the chair, along with the embroidered trim, all look absolutely fantastic. The quality of these elements appears leaps and bounds over its screen-printed competitors, and the colors are vibrant and practically jump off the chair.

The DXRacer Craft Series also features a very multipurpose design, making it comfortable whether it’s being used for long office hours or binging playtime in the latest open-world game, like Horizon: Forbidden West. The chair itself arrived well-packed and was easy to assemble. While assembly can definitely be completed by one person, most gamers would likely benefit from having a second pair of eyes to help line up some of the components during the final stages of assembly. Even with only one person, assembly can be completed in under 30 minutes. The DXRacer Craft Series comes with an instruction panel that includes several drawings of the assembly process, but unfortunately does not have any words, which at times can lack clarity. However, DXRacer has also provided a DXRacer Craft Series assembly video on YouTube for those that find it easier to learn in video form, and it helps to clarify the less simple steps.
While the primary draw of the DXRacer Craft Series is undoubtedly its nearly limitless customization options, the chair does far more than just look good. The Craft series appears to be similar in design to the recently discontinued DXRacer Drifting Series, which was designed to function as an office chair as well as a gaming chair. The DXRacer Craft Series also performs equally strong in both settings, with a comfortable, breathable polyurethane faux leather covering. In addition, the chair also employs a cool-gel insert to help keep temperatures down during long sitting sessions. This insert does create a bit of a strange crackling sound when its user first stands up after a long sitting session, but it’s a small price to pay for the cooling it provides. The chair is quite firm, and provides excellent back support for gamers that prefer not to sink into their chairs. A small dial on the side of the chair provides some slight adjustment to the back support, as well.
The DXRacer Craft Series also features several customizable setting features, much like DXRacer’s AIR Mesh gaming chair. A lever on the right side gives users the ability to recline the back of the chair at a 135-degree angle, allowing for relaxation sessions that are made all the better by the addition of a soft and luxurious memory foam pillow. Another handle on the side gives gamers control over the hydraulic stand, allowing them to raise or lower the chair, helping it to fit most users and gaming setups. The DXRacer Craft also features adjustable armrests, which can not only be raised and lowered, but also adjusted on a horizontal angle (4D movement). While these features are nice to have, the height adjustments felt severely limited, with even the lowest setting still standing quite high (nearly 7 inches from the seat) and can get in the way for console gamers that play with their controller in their lap.
The DXRacer Craft will be priced between $450 – $525. This is definitely on the pricier end of gaming chairs, especially compared to some of its competitors like the AndaSeat Jungle 2 gaming chair. However, for those that are willing to pay a bit extra for an absolutely top-notch gaming chair with impressive customizability without sacrificing quality or comfort, the DXRacer Craft Series is the perfect fit.
